Jamie McShane

Jamie McShane is an American television and film actor. He is widely recognized for his recurring and main performances on prominent television dramas, including Sons of Anarchy, Southland, and Bloodline. Additionally, he gained visibility for portraying Agent Jackson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe feature films Thor (2011) and The Avengers (2012).

Raised in Northern New Jersey alongside four siblings, McShane pursued higher education after his youth. He attended the University of Richmond, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1988.

Over the course of his extensive acting career, McShane established a significant presence on television through numerous guest appearances and recurring parts. Among his notable television credits are appearances on procedural and drama series such as 24, House, Stalker, Fear the Walking Dead, and The Fosters.

His most prominent television roles include portraying Cameron Hayes in the crime drama Sons of Anarchy, Sergeant Terry Hill in the police drama Southland, and Eric O'Bannon in the thriller series Bloodline. In addition to his television work, McShane has appeared in high-profile feature films, including roles in the acclaimed movies Argo and Gone Girl.

In October 2016, McShane received professional recognition for his work on Bloodline. He was honored with the Maltese Falcon award at the Humphrey Bogart Film Festival in Key Largo for his performance as Eric O'Bannon. The accolade was presented to him by Stephen Bogart, the son of actor Humphrey Bogart.

McShane has continued to secure major roles in recent television productions. In 2021, he featured in the first season of the crime thriller series CSI: Vegas, playing the central antagonist, attorney Anson Wix. His subsequent project work in 2022 includes appearances as Detective Lankford in the Netflix drama series The Lincoln Lawyer, as well as playing Sheriff Galpin in the Netflix series Wednesday.
