Jaryd Russell Lazar, known professionally by his alias summit1g, is an American Twitch streamer and former professional esports player born on April 23, 1987. He first gained recognition competing professionally in the tactical shooter title Counter-Strike: Global Offensive before transitioning into full-time content creation.

Following his retirement from professional esports play, Lazar built his early streaming audience by broadcasting games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and WarZ. Over time, his channel evolved into a variety stream covering a broad range of titles, including Escape from Tarkov, Grand Theft Auto V, Sea of Thieves, Overwatch, DayZ, iRacing, Foxhole, Hearthstone, and Rust.

Lazar achieved notable audience milestones on Twitch as his channel grew. In 2017, he reached a wider audience after becoming more followed than Syndicate. By 2018, his stream briefly became the single most-followed channel on the Twitch platform, passing the official account of Riot Games.

During his career, Lazar has occasionally been involved in public controversy. In May 2018, he faced backlash from his audience after hosting a broadcast alongside online personality Jake Paul. In April 2020, he criticized the closed beta launch of the tactical shooter Valorant, accusing other streamers of manipulating Twitch's reward distribution system to artificially inflate view counts, though he later issued and subsequently deleted an apology regarding his remarks.

Lazar has also competed in game speedruns, notably focusing on Max Payne 3 starting in mid-2021. During a live stream on July 2, 2021, he set a world record in the game's Hardcore difficulty category. In 2023, he expanded his content partnerships when he and fellow broadcaster EsfandTV were invited by One Championship to stream the organization's inaugural mixed martial arts event in the United States.

Lazar solidified his platform presence in May 2020 by entering into a multi-year content and partnership contract with Twitch. As of September 2023, he maintained a following of over 6 million users on the platform, placing him among its top thirty most popular broadcasters.
