Michael Bublé

Michael Steven Bublé is a Canadian singer and songwriter regarded as a pop icon. He is credited with helping to renew public interest and appreciation for traditional pop standards and the Great American Songbook. Over the course of his career, he has sold more than 75 million records worldwide and earned numerous awards, including five Grammy Awards and fifteen Juno Awards.

Bublé was born on September 9, 1975, in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, to Lewis Bublé, a fisherman, and Amber Bublé. He was raised Roman Catholic alongside two younger sisters. Inspired by his family's music collection and his grandfather Demetrio Santagà, he developed a passion for jazz and singing during his childhood. Beginning at age 14, Bublé spent six years working during the summer as a commercial fisherman alongside his father.

His early performing engagements began in nightclubs at age 16, facilitated by his grandfather, who offered plumbing services in exchange for stage time and paid for his singing lessons. After winning the Canadian Youth Talent Search, Bublé hired manager Bev Delich, who represented him for seven years as he performed at clubs, conventions, cruise ships, hotel lounges, and talent shows. During the late 1990s, he gained television exposure through guest roles, a Bravo! documentary, and regular appearances on Vicki Gabereau's national talk show. He also recorded three independent albums between 1996 and 2002.

Bublé's major breakthrough occurred after singing at the wedding of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney's daughter, where he was introduced to record producer David Foster. Signed to 143 Records, Bublé released his self-titled debut album in 2003, reaching the top ten in Canada and the United Kingdom and number one in Australia. He achieved further international success with his 2005 album, It's Time, which topped the Canadian chart and spent 78 weeks at number one on Billboard's Top Jazz Albums chart.

His third studio album, Call Me Irresponsible, was released in 2007 and reached number one on the US Billboard 200, the Canadian Albums Chart, the UK Albums Chart, and the Australian ARIA Albums Chart. His 2009 release, Crazy Love, also debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. In 2011, Bublé released the holiday album Christmas, which spent five weeks at number one on the Billboard 200. He subsequently released the albums To Be Loved in April 2013, Nobody but Me in October 2016, and Love in November 2018.
