Krista Allen

Krista Allen, born April 5, 1971, in Ventura, California, is an American actress, comedian, and model. She is best known for her daytime soap opera performances, including her portrayals of Billie Reed on Days of Our Lives from 1996 to 1999 and Taylor Hayes on The Bold and the Beautiful from 2021 to 2023. She also appeared in the drama series Baywatch and the erotic film series Emmanuelle in Space, alongside feature films such as Liar Liar, Anger Management, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, and The Final Destination.

Allen spent her youth in Texas after her parents divorced when she was young. At age fourteen, she ran away from home and lived with friends for two years. As a teenager, she competed in beauty pageants and worked as a model for Budweiser, posing for calendars, catalogs, and billboards. Prior to relocating to Los Angeles, she worked as an aerobics instructor and served as a spokesmodel for World Gym.

Allen did not initially plan to act, but she began securing roles after meeting a manager. In 1994, she landed the title role in Emmanuelle in Space, and in 1995, she appeared as Shelley in three episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful. Following guest roles on shows like Silk Stalkings and Married... with Children, she joined NBC's Days of Our Lives as Billie Reed in September 1996, remaining on the show until November 1999. During the 1990s, she also appeared in feature films including Liar Liar and The Haunted Sea.

From 2000 to 2001, Allen portrayed Jenna Avid on Baywatch Hawaii and held a recurring role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Throughout the 2000s, she built an extensive screen resume with appearances in movies such as Sunset Strip, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Anger Management, Paycheck, and The Final Destination. On television, she guest-starred on series including Friends, Frasier, Monk, and Two and a Half Men, appeared as herself on HBO's Project Greenlight and Unscripted, and played a recurring role on What About Brian.

In the 2010s and 2020s, Allen continued acting in television movies and series such as Jesse Stone: No Remorse, The L.A. Complex, and Significant Mother. For her performance in the film Eleven Eleven, she received awards at the IndieFEST Film Awards and Hollywood Boulevard Film Festival, as well as a nomination at the Burbank International Film Festival. She also won Best Supporting Actress at the Silver State Film Festival for Shadows. In December 2021, Allen took over the role of Taylor Hayes on The Bold and the Beautiful, earning a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2023 before leaving the show later that year.

Outside of acting, Allen has performed as a stand-up comedian, written for comedy projects on Netflix and HBO, operated the T-shirt brand Superexcellent, and hosted the podcast "I'm Fine" with Krista Allen. She serves as a director and spokesperson for the non-profit R.I.S.E. & Stand and an ambassador for Crisis Care L.A. After completing her GED, Allen pursued higher education in neuroscience and epigenetics, becoming a licensed therapist specializing in complex trauma and addiction recovery, an epigenetics coach, and an integration coach.
