Monica Anna Maria Bellucci is an Italian actress and model born on 30 September 1964 in Città di Castello, Umbria, Italy. Raised in Selci-Lama as the only child of Pasquale Bellucci, a trucking company owner, and Brunella Briganti, a housewife and amateur painter, she received a Catholic education and developed an early interest in fashion and cinema. She was introduced to modeling at age 13. While studying law at the University of Perugia, she financed her studies through modeling before deciding to leave university to pursue a career in fashion and acting.

Represented by Elite Model Management, Bellucci established herself as an international model, appearing on the covers of Elle France and Vogue Spain in 1988. She became a muse for Dolce & Gabbana and featured prominently in their advertising campaigns and catwalk shows. Over her career, she served as a brand ambassador for luxury and beauty houses including Dior, L'Oréal, Breil, Cartier, and Nivea.
