Singer, dancer, and media personality JoJo Siwa took center stage at the 2026 Dancers Against Cancer Gala of the Stars on October 22 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. Marking the 10th anniversary of her breakout 2016 single "Boomerang," the 23-year-old performer delivered a stripped-back, piano-driven rendition of the pop hit that drew a warm reception from the audience.
Dressed in a bow-adorned blue gown, Siwa traded her usual high-energy dance routines for a dramatic, stationary vocal presentation. Speaking to reporters on the red carpet prior to the performance, the artist shared that standing still during a vocal set represented a meaningful milestone in her evolving live performance style, while emphasizing her ongoing commitment to supporting families impacted by cancer.
Siwa first rose to national prominence as a young contestant on the reality television series Dance Moms before signing with Nickelodeon and building a global brand centered around music, merchandise, and touring. Over the past decade, she has released multiple gold-certified singles, starred in television specials, and competed on major reality competitions including Dancing with the Stars.
In recent years, the multihyphenate entertainer has actively engaged in philanthropic work alongside her mother, Jessalynn Siwa, serving as a key ambassador and creative director for youth performances supporting the Dancers Against Cancer foundation. The organization provides vital financial assistance to dancers, choreographers, and dance families facing cancer treatments.
Her appearance at the gala highlights her continued efforts to balance commercial projects with charitable endeavors. Moving forward, Siwa plans to expand her creative repertoire across live music, dance direction, and media production as she prepares for upcoming seasonal projects.
