Oscar-nominated actor Jeremy Renner made a heartfelt public appearance at the 24th annual Alice nella Città film festival in Rome, Italy, on October 23, 2026. The actor attended a series of festival events alongside his 13-year-old daughter, Ava Berlin Renner, marking a rare red-carpet outing for the father-daughter pair.
Renner and his daughter posed together for photographers during two separate photocalls across the city, appearing first at the Auditorium Parco della Musica and later at the historic Teatro Sistina. Renner wore a tailored navy three-piece suit, while Ava wore a stunning teal-blue satin gown. The actor shared affectionate moments on the carpet, smiling and posing alongside his daughter for international media.
The festival appearance was organized around the Italian launch of Renner's newly published memoir, My Next Breath, which chronicles his extraordinary survival and physical recovery following a near-fatal snowplow accident in January 2023. During a special festival masterclass on performance and the craft of acting, Renner spoke about how his role as a father served as his primary motivation throughout his intensive medical rehabilitation.
In addition to discussing his book and body of work, Renner was presented with the festival's Special Youth Jury Award in recognition of his inspiring resilience and contributions to cinematic storytelling. The festival program also featured retrospectives of his acclaimed performances in the Academy Award-winning drama The Hurt Locker and the Marvel Cinematic Universe series Hawkeye.
Renner recently returned to active filming, starring in the upcoming mystery film Wake Up Dead Man and continuing his lead role in Paramount's hit drama series Mayor of Kingstown. His appearance in Rome highlighted both his ongoing professional resurgence and his close personal family bond.
