Chrishell Stause has issued a clear warning regarding the future of Selling Sunset. Speaking on October 21 at The Hollywood Reporter's Creator A-List Party in West Hollywood, the television star confirmed that while she has no plans to watch the upcoming tenth season of the Netflix reality series, her legal team will be keeping close tabs on the show to ensure her reputation remains protected.
Stause publicly addressed her departure from the real estate hit, wishing her former castmates well while firmly establishing boundaries. She explained that she harbors no ill will toward the remaining cast members and genuinely hopes the show enjoys continued success, but made it explicit that she will pursue legal action if any false or defamatory statements are made about her on camera.
The television personality previously announced her decision to exit the series after completing nine seasons with The Oppenheim Group. Stause noted in earlier interviews that she reached a point in her career where she no longer depended on the reality franchise financially, citing the ongoing drama and high-stress environment as factors that were no longer conducive to her overall mental well-being.
First joining Selling Sunset at its launch in 2019, Stause quickly became one of the central figures of the series. Before transitioning into high-end Los Angeles real estate, she built a successful acting career in daytime television, starring in prominent roles on drama series including All My Children and Days of Our Lives. Her personal and professional journey at the brokerage formed the emotional core of the Netflix show across multiple years.
Beyond reality television, Stause has diversified her portfolio into digital content creation, brand partnerships, and hosting projects. As Selling Sunset enters a new chapter with significant roster changes, Stause is actively focusing on new creative endeavors while maintaining a firm legal boundary to protect her personal brand and professional integrity moving forward.
