During her upbringing, her family experienced periods of housing insecurity, an experience Stause has frequently discussed in interviews and her written memoir. She pursued higher education at Murray State University in Kentucky, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater.

Stause launched her professional acting career in 2005 when she was cast as Amanda Dillon on the ABC daytime drama All My Children, a role she played until 2011. In 2013, she joined the cast of NBC's Days of Our Lives as Jordan Ridgeway, earning a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series in 2020. She also made appearances on The Young and the Restless and competed on Season 29 of Dancing with the Stars. In 2019, Stause achieved mainstream success joining Netflix's Selling Sunset, representing high-end real estate at The Oppenheim Group while serving as a central figure across its multi-season run.

Media Presence and Personal Life

In addition to television, Stause authored her memoir, Small Town, Big Drama: How I Survived Childhood Poverty, Reality TV, and Other Disasters, released in 2022. She maintains an active digital presence with millions of followers on Instagram, sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of her real estate listings, red-carpet appearances, and lifestyle updates.
