Lacey Chabert

Lacey Nicole Chabert is an American actress born on September 30, 1982, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and raised in nearby Purvis. She is widely known for her early television and film roles, extensive voice work in animation and video games, and her prominent career starring in more than 40 films for the Hallmark Channel, where she has been referred to in popular culture as the Queen of Hallmark Christmas Movies.

Chabert grew up with a Cajun father from Louisiana, a younger brother named Tony, and two older sisters, Chrissy and Wendy. As a child, she participated in beauty pageants and was named Miss Jr. Mississippi. She began her career appearing in television commercials for brands such as Burger King, Triaminic, Zest, and Secret Beauties dolls. Between 1992 and 1993, she played young Cosette in Les Misérables on Broadway and portrayed Bianca Montgomery on the soap opera All My Children.

Her breakthrough came in 1994 when she was cast as Claudia Salinger on the Fox drama series Party of Five, which ran for six seasons until 2000. Her performance earned her two YoungStar Awards for Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Drama TV Series. During this period, she made her feature film debut in Lost in Space (1998) and voiced Eliza Thornberry in Nickelodeon's The Wild Thornberrys series and its adapted films. She also provided the voice of Meg Griffin during the first season of Family Guy in 1999.

In 2004, Chabert co-starred as Gretchen Wieners in the hit comedy film Mean Girls, winning a 2005 MTV Movie Award for Best On-Screen Team alongside her co-stars. That same year, she played the title role in the television biopic The Brooke Ellison Story. Her subsequent screen credits throughout the 2000s included Not Another Teen Movie, Daddy Day Care, Dirty Deeds, Black Christmas, and Hello Sister, Goodbye Life, alongside voice roles as Princess Elise in Sonic the Hedgehog and Gwen Stacy in The Spectacular Spider-Man.

Chabert later focused heavily on Hallmark Channel productions, starring in romantic dramas and holiday movies including A Christmas Melody, the Crossword Mysteries series, Sweet Carolina, and The Wedding Veil series. She expanded her relationship with the network by executive producing projects and signing a multi-film deal with Crown Media Family Networks. Outside of Hallmark, Chabert starred in the 2024 Netflix holiday movie Hot Frosty and hosted and executive produced the Hallmark+ unscripted series Celebrations with Lacey Chabert.

In addition to her entertainment work, Chabert launched her own clothing line, the Lacey Chabert Collection, with HSN, as well as a seasonal product line with Hallmark. Chabert married her longtime boyfriend, David Nehdar, on December 22, 2013, in Los Angeles, and gave birth to their daughter in September 2016.
