Xolo Maridueña

Ramario Xolo Ramirez, known professionally as Xolo Maridueña, is an American actor born on June 9, 2001. He rose to prominence through his performances on television and in film, most notably starring as Victor Graham in the NBC drama Parenthood, playing Miguel Diaz in the Netflix action series Cobra Kai, and portraying Jaime Reyes in the DC Comics superhero film Blue Beetle.

Maridueña was born in Los Angeles, California, to Omar G. Ramirez and Carmelita Ramirez-Sánchez, and grew up alongside four sisters. He is of Mexican, Cuban, and Ecuadorian descent. His birth name, Ramario, was created by combining the names of his maternal uncles, Ramón and Mario. Raised in the El Sereno neighborhood, he attended El Sereno Middle School. At around ten years old, he joined the CASA 0101 theater company, where he trained as an actor and performed in his first productions. He later continued his education at Cathedral High School and Pasadena City College.

Maridueña's professional career began with a modeling assignment for a Sears catalog. When he was eleven years old, he secured his first major television role as Victor Graham in Parenthood, appearing on the drama from 2012 to 2015. Following this role, he was cast at age sixteen in the lead role of Miguel Diaz, the first student of Johnny Lawrence, in Cobra Kai. He appeared in every episode of the show throughout its run from 2018 to 2025.

In 2023, Maridueña starred as the title character Jaime Reyes in Blue Beetle, marking the first time a Latino superhero character was featured in a live-action film. Alongside his screen acting, Maridueña expanded into audio and music projects. In September 2021, he teamed up with actor Jacob Bertrand to launch and co-host the podcast Lone Lobos. On August 18, 2023, he released his debut single, titled "On My Way," featuring singer Adriana Padilla.

Following his superhero film role, Maridueña participated in several commercial, voice, and television appearances. He appeared in a commercial for Taco Bell in September 2024 and featured in an episode of the docuseries A Great Day With J Balvin in October 2024. In voice acting, he voiced the character Brainy Smurf in the 2025 animated feature film Smurfs.

Maridueña has continued to build his acting filmography across several upcoming productions. In December 2023, he was cast in the film Killing Castro, and he later joined the cast of the indie romance Dog Years, directed by Mary Bronaugh. In July 2025, he joined the cast of Practical Magic 2 in the role of Gideon. In November 2025, he was announced for the role of Portgas D. Ace in the Netflix series One Piece.

In addition to his film and television projects, Maridueña is scheduled to make his Broadway debut as Juan De Marcos in Buena Vista Social Club for a seven-week limited engagement running from November 17 to January 3, 2027. In his personal life, Maridueña practices the religion Ifá. He was previously in a relationship with his Cobra Kai co-star Hannah Kepple from 2019 to 2022.
