Louis Ozawa

Louis Ozawa Changchien is an American actor widely recognized for his performances in feature films such as The Bourne Legacy and the streaming series Jack Ryan. He is also well known for portraying several characters within the Kawakami family across multiple installments of the Predator and Alien vs. Predator media franchises.

Born in Queens, New York, Changchien spent his upbringing living in both New York City and Japan. He was raised by a Taiwanese father and a mother who worked as a Japanese jewelry designer. During his primary and secondary education, he went to the Riverdale Country School and Stuyvesant High School.

Changchien pursued higher education at the University of California, Davis, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on biology. He subsequently continued his studies in the performing arts at Brown University, successfully obtaining a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting.

His screen acting career began in 1999 when he was cast as Kenneth in the film On the Q.T. Following his debut, he steadily built his professional portfolio through roles in various independent and studio feature films, including Robot Stories and Fair Game.

Over the course of his career, Changchien gained broader public visibility through his involvement in major action projects. His notable film contributions include playing Hanzo Kawakami in Predators, as well as appearing in the action thriller spin-off The Bourne Legacy. His work in the broader franchise expanded to include voicing or portraying Eiji Kawakami in Aliens vs. Predators: Ultimate Prey, alongside playing Kenji and Kiyoshi Kawakami in Predator: Killer of Killers.

In addition to his film projects, Changchien has maintained a steady presence on television. He has appeared as a guest actor on a variety of episodic television series, including Law & Order, 3 lbs, Heroes and Villains, Lights Out, and Blue Bloods.
