Topher Grace

Christopher John "Topher" Grace is an American actor best known for his roles as Eric Forman on the sitcom That '70s Show and Eddie Brock / Venom in the film Spider-Man 3. Born in New York City on July 12, 1978, Grace was raised in Darien, Connecticut. His mother was an assistant to a school headmaster and his father was an executive. He was raised Episcopalian and grew up alongside friends in his community, participating in high school plays.

Grace made his television debut in 1998 as Eric Forman on That '70s Show, starring as a main cast member through its seventh season and making a guest appearance in the final episode. During this time, he transitioned into film, appearing in Steven Soderbergh's Traffic in 2000, playing himself in uncredited cameos in Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve, and appearing in Mona Lisa Smile in 2003.

In 2004, Grace played leading roles in Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!, In Good Company, and P.S. His performances in In Good Company and P.S. earned him the National Board of Review Award for Breakthrough Performance Actor. After hosting Saturday Night Live in 2005, he landed the role of Eddie Brock / Venom in the 2007 blockbuster Spider-Man 3.

Over the following decade, Grace appeared in a wide variety of film projects. His credits included the ensemble comedy Valentine's Day and the action film Predators in 2010. He co-wrote, co-produced, and starred in Take Me Home Tonight in 2011, and starred in the spy thriller The Double. He also appeared in the 2012 Daytime Emmy Award-winning social film The Beauty Inside, the 2014 thriller The Calling, and Christopher Nolan's science-fiction film Interstellar.

Grace continued to expand his repertoire with roles in the comedy American Ultra and the drama Truth in 2015, followed by the supernatural thriller Delirium and Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman in 2018, playing David Duke in the latter. On television, he appeared in a 2019 episode of Black Mirror and starred as the lead in the ABC comedy series Home Economics from 2021 to 2023. His later film projects included Heretic in 2024 and Flight Risk in 2025.

In addition to his acting career, Grace creates film fan edits, including recuts of the Star Wars prequels, Boogie Nights, and The Hobbit. Under the editing moniker "Lou's Cafe" with Jeff Yorkes, he was commissioned by Pixar to create a retrospective edit for Toy Story 4. Grace married actress Ashley Hinshaw in 2016, with whom he has three children, and he supports the microfinance organization FINCA International.
