Ashley Hinshaw

Ashley Hinshaw (credited in some works as Ashley Grace) is an American actress and model known for her roles in independent films, television dramas, and national modeling campaigns. Born on December 11, 1988, in La Porte, Indiana, she first gained recognition as a teen model before transitioning into a full-time acting career. Over the course of her screen career, she has starred in notable film productions such as Chronicle and About Cherry, as well as recurring television series including StartUp and The Arrangement.

Early Life and Modeling Career

Hinshaw grew up in La Porte, Indiana, where she developed an early interest in the performing arts and local theatre. At age 13, she began competing in regional beauty and talent pageants, earning several awards in youth competitions. She later participated in the Miss Indiana American Junior Teen Pageant and the National Miss American Coed Pageant. At age 16, Hinshaw relocated to New York City to pursue professional modeling. During her time as a fashion model, she appeared in major print advertising campaigns, most notably for the youth clothing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch, and served as a pageant judge on the MTV reality series Made in 2008.

Acting Career

In 2009, Hinshaw made her television acting debut with a guest appearance as herself on the popular teen drama series Gossip Girl. Her breakthrough lead film role came in 2012 with the drama About Cherry, in which she portrayed the title character alongside Heather Graham and James Franco. Her television work continued with recurring and main roles, including her portrayal of Taylor in the Crackle thriller series StartUp, appearances in HBO's True Detective, and a recurring role as Lisbeth on E!'s The Arrangement.

Hinshaw began dating actor Topher Grace in early 2014, and the couple got engaged in January 2015. They were married in May 2016 in Santa Barbara, California. The couple resides in California and has three children.
