Ashley Greene

Ashley Greene Khoury is an American actress best known for playing Alice Cullen in the film adaptations of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight novels. Born on February 21, 1987, in Jacksonville, Florida, she originally intended to pursue a modeling career before shifting her focus toward acting. She went on to appear in numerous feature films, television shows, and video games.

Greene was raised between Jacksonville and Middleburg, Florida, alongside her older brother. Her father, Joe Greene Sr., served as a U.S. Marine and owned a concrete construction business, while her mother, Michele, worked for an insurance company. Greene attended University Christian School before transferring to Samuel W. Wolfson High School in the tenth grade. Growing up, she was a fan of the Florida Gators and enjoyed watching football.

Initially planning to become a fashion model, Greene was advised that her height of 5 feet 5 inches was insufficient for fashion modeling and that she should focus on commercial acting instead. After enrolling in acting and commercial classes, she fell in love with acting and realized she preferred it to modeling. She graduated from high school early and moved to Los Angeles at age 17 to pursue an acting career.

Early in her career, Greene made guest appearances on television programs such as Punk'd and Crossing Jordan. Her major break came in 2008 when she was cast as Alice Cullen in the film adaptation of Twilight. She reprised the role in all subsequent installments of The Twilight Saga, including New Moon in 2009, Eclipse in 2010, Breaking Dawn – Part 1 in 2011, and Breaking Dawn – Part 2 in 2012. She was friends with her co-stars Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone prior to filming.

Beyond the Twilight franchise, Greene appeared in several other film projects. She starred in the 2009 thriller Summer's Blood and portrayed Michelle Burkham in the drama Skateland, which premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. She reunited with Lutz in the 2011 movie A Warrior's Heart and starred in the horror film The Apparition in 2012. In 2013, she appeared in CBGB, a drama about the famous music club.

Greene expanded into voice acting in 2015 when she voiced Barbara Gordon, also known as Oracle, in the video game Batman: Arkham Knight. In 2026, she played a fictionalized version of herself in the Disney+ series Wonder Man. Over her career, she also received recognition, including The Style Icon Award at Hollywood Life's Young Hollywood Awards in 2010, as well as an award from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals for representing Avon and its no animal testing policy.

In her personal life, Greene met Paul Khoury through mutual friends in 2009. The couple married in 2018 and have one child together.
