Kristoffer Polaha

Kristoffer Polaha is an American actor known for his work across television series, television films, and major feature motion pictures. On television, he gained main roles as Jason Matthews on North Shore, Nathaniel "Baze" Bazile on Life Unexpected, and Henry Butler on Ringer. He has also starred as detective Travis Burke in the seven-part Mystery 101 series for Hallmark. In film, his screen credits include appearances in Devil's Knot, Wonder Woman 1984, Jurassic World Dominion, and The Shift.

Born on February 18, 1977, in Reno, Nevada, Polaha was raised by Esther and Jerome Polaha as the youngest of four sons. His father worked as a Washoe District Court Judge. During the early 1990s, Polaha moved to California to attend the Robert Louis Stevenson boarding school in Pebble Beach. He later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 1999 before relocating to Los Angeles in July 2001.

Polaha began his professional career in theatrical stage productions, including Ragtime Revue, Long Day's Journey Into Night, Bread & Butter, and Uncle Vanya. He subsequently entered television with guest appearances on shows such as That's Life, Angel, Roswell, Tru Calling, House, and CSI: Miami. He achieved wider attention in 2003 portraying John F. Kennedy Jr. in the television film America's Prince: The John F. Kennedy Jr. Story. He went on to star in the single-season Hawaii-set resort drama North Shore in 2004, followed by television roles on Mad Men, Miss Guided, and Life Unexpected, where he portrayed a tavern owner meeting his long-lost daughter.

Throughout the 2010s, Polaha expanded his portfolio across drama, comedy, and film, while founding his own production company, Podunk Productions, in 2010. He held key roles on Ringer and Get Shorty, and made guest appearances on series like Bones and Condor. In cinema, he appeared in Billy: The Early Years, Devil's Knot, and the sports drama Where Hope Grows. His performance as a lead character in the 2016 short film Frontman earned him a Jury Award for Best Actor at the Seattle Shorts Film Festival.

Beginning in 2016, Polaha established a prominent presence in family-friendly network programming, starring in Hallmark Channel features such as Dater's Handbook, Rocky Mountain Christmas, Pearl in Paradise, Double Holiday, A Dickens of a Holiday!, and A Biltmore Christmas. He also secured roles in larger studio feature releases, portraying the host body for Chris Pine's character in Wonder Woman 1984, CIA officer Wyatt Huntley in the blockbuster Jurassic World Dominion, and protagonist Kevin Garner in the dystopian science-fiction film The Shift. He also directed, co-produced, and starred in the horror comedy film Mimics.

In addition to acting, Polaha ventured into publishing by signing a deal to co-author a romance book series titled From Kona with Love alongside writer Anna Gomez. The duo released Moments Like This in 2021 and Where the Sun Rises in 2022. On June 7, 2003, Polaha married actress Julianne Morris in Windermere, Florida. The couple has three sons, born in 2004, 2006, and 2011.
