Brittany Ishibashi

Brittany Ishibashi is an American actress who has appeared in numerous television series, feature films, and multimedia projects. She is best known for her television portrayals in major productions such as Political Animals, Supernatural, and Runaways, as well as her appearance in the feature film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

Ishibashi grew up in a family with deep ties to the entertainment industry. Her father, Gerald Ishibashi, works as a musician and concert promoter, while her mother, Lisa Ishibashi, is a singer. Her grandmother, Mary Nomura, also achieved recognition as a singer known as the songbird of Manzanar. Ishibashi completed her early education at Jordan Elementary School, Santiago Middle School, and El Modena High School before studying theater at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Her professional acting career began shortly after high school when creator J. J. Abrams selected her for a role in the series Felicity. While continuing her coursework at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, she built her resume through frequent industry appearances. Since entering the profession, she has maintained a steady presence across film and television, working with prominent directors including Robert Redford, Danny DeVito, and Joan Scheckel.

Over the course of her career, Ishibashi has made guest appearances and held recurring roles in over three dozen television programs, such as Grey's Anatomy and The Office. Her portrayal of Maggie Zeddmore in Supernatural led to a debut appearance at Comic-Con and a reprisal of the role in the spin-off series Ghostfacers, which gained an international audience.

Ishibashi achieved widespread recognition for playing Anne Ogami in the USA Network series Political Animals, a show that received nominations for both Golden Globe and Emmy Awards. Her subsequent projects included an appearance in the Netflix series Grace and Frankie and a starring role in Everything Before Us, the debut feature film from Wong Fu Productions released in June 2015.

In addition to her acting work, Ishibashi expanded into production by founding her own company, Mana Moments, in early 2015. The enterprise was established to develop female-led comedic media. She later played the character Karai in the June 2016 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, and in 2017, she joined the main cast of the Hulu series Runaways, portraying the character Tina Minoru.
