Lisa Rinna

Lisa Rinna is an American actress, television personality, author, and model born on July 11, 1963. She is best known for portraying Billie Reed on the NBC daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives and Taylor McBride on the Fox drama Melrose Place. From 2014 to 2022, she was a main cast member on Bravo's reality television series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She has also appeared in various reality competition programs, television films, and theatrical productions.

Rinna was born in Newport Beach, California, to Lois Irene DeAndrade and Frank Rinna, and is of Portuguese and Italian descent. At age seven, her older half-sister Laurene died, and her family relocated to Medford, Oregon, where she spent the remainder of her childhood. She graduated from North Medford High School in 1981. After high school, she moved to San Francisco to pursue modeling, appearing in commercials and John Parr's music video for "Naughty Naughty." She made her television acting debut in 1990 on The Hogan Family.

In 1992, Rinna achieved her career breakthrough after being cast as Billie Reed on Days of Our Lives. Her performance earned her the award for Outstanding Female Newcomer at the 1994 Soap Opera Digest Awards, followed by Hottest Soap Couple in 1995 alongside Robert Kelker-Kelly. After departing the series in 1995, she transitioned to primetime television in 1996 to play Taylor McBride on Melrose Place until 1998. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, Rinna starred in several television films, including Sex, Lies & Obsession and Another Woman's Husband, and appeared in the 2001 film Good Advice.

From 2002 to 2006, Rinna co-hosted the daily talk show Soap Talk on Soapnet, earning four consecutive Daytime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Talk Show Host. She also hosted the home makeover program Merge, Oxygen's Tease, and TV Guide Network's red carpet coverage. In June 2007, she made her Broadway debut portraying Roxie Hart in Chicago. Her television work during this period included competing on Dancing with the Stars, guest roles on Veronica Mars, Entourage, and Hannah Montana, and starring in the 2010 reality series Harry Loves Lisa alongside her husband.

Rinna joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2014 for its fifth season, remaining on the show until announcing her departure in 2023. Beyond reality television, she competed on two seasons of The Celebrity Apprentice and on The Traitors, winning Female Star of the Year at the Critics' Choice Awards for her appearance on the latter. Her acting credits also include Sing Your Face Off, Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem, Mommy Meanest, and guest roles on series such as Community, The Middle, and American Horror Stories.

In addition to entertainment, Rinna has launched several business ventures, including The Lisa Rinna Collection for QVC, Rinna Beauty, and Rinna Wines. She has written four books: Rinnavation: Getting Your Best Life Ever, Starlit, The Big, Fun, Sexy Sex Book, and You Better Believe I'm Gonna Talk About It. Rinna married actor Harry Hamlin on March 29, 1997, in Beverly Hills, California, and they have two daughters.
