Yolanda Hadid

Yolanda Hadid, born Yolanda van den Herik on January 11, 1964, is a Dutch-born American television personality and former model. She is best known as a star of the American reality television series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She is also widely recognized as the mother of IMG models Gigi and Bella Hadid.

Hadid was born and raised in Papendrecht, South Holland, in a family of Christian background. She grew up with her brother, Leo. When she was seven years old, her father died in a car accident, leaving her mother, Ans van den Herik, to raise the two children.

Her career in fashion began when Dutch designer Frans Molenaar asked her to replace a model in one of his shows. At the event, she was discovered by Eileen Ford and signed a contract with Ford Models. Hadid modeled for 15 years in cities across the world, including Paris, Milan, Sydney, Cape Town, Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, and Hamburg. She eventually decided to stop modeling to settle down and start a family, moving to Los Angeles in 1994.

In addition to appearing on reality television, Hadid developed and starred in her own television competition series. Her reality show Making a Model with Yolanda Hadid, which was developed under the working title Model Moms, premiered on Lifetime on January 11, 2018. She is also the author of the 2017 memoir Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease.

Hadid became a naturalized United States citizen on May 23, 2013. She was first married to real estate developer Mohamed Hadid from 1994 until 2000, and they had three children together: Jelena "Gigi", Isabella "Bella", and Anwar. On November 11, 2011, she married musician, composer, and producer David Foster in Beverly Hills. The couple announced plans to divorce in December 2015, and the divorce was finalized on October 16, 2017.

In May 2020, Hadid announced a relationship with Joseph "Joey" Jingoli, the CEO of the construction and development company Jingoli. They announced their engagement in August 2024, which later ended on June 5, 2025. In June 2026, she became engaged to real estate developer Randy Kendrick. In another personal matter, in October 2021, her daughter Gigi's partner Zayn Malik pleaded no contest to four harassment charges involving Hadid and was sentenced to probation.

Throughout her television appearances and public statements, Hadid has discussed experiencing symptoms attributed to chronic Lyme disease. In December 2012, she had a medical port implanted in her arm to assist with treatments, which was removed in April 2013. In January 2015, she stated that her condition had led to a temporary loss of her ability to read, write, or watch television. She has also claimed that two of her children experience the condition.
