Taylor Armstrong

Taylor Armstrong is an American singer-songwriter and record producer based near Portland, Oregon. Known for his vulnerable songwriting and atmospheric blend of indie folk, pop, and modern worship music, Armstrong creates acoustic and electronic-leaning compositions centered on themes of faith, personal reflection, and human experience. He began releasing music independently in 2016, building an audience through home-recorded projects and intimate live performances.

Raised between the Canadian province of New Brunswick and rural Maine, Armstrong was introduced to music at a young age. He later moved to Redding, California, to attend ministry college, an experience that shaped his creative direction and led him to pursue songwriting seriously. Armstrong made his official recording debut with the 2016 worship EP First Love, featuring the acoustic track Teach Me How to Love You More. He subsequently expanded his catalog with standalone singles, including the 2019 releases Tender and Come What May, a duet with vocalist Sarah Juers.

In 2020, Armstrong released a self-titled EP containing the notable track Altar. He pivoted toward broader indie-pop themes with his 2021 album Moonflower, followed by reflective worship-leaning singles such as I'm Remembering and Chasing After Wind. Over the course of his career, Armstrong has balanced his solo output with producing work for other independent musicians.

Armstrong continued his steady release schedule in 2024 with projects such as the EP When It Rains and the country-influenced EP The Coal, which featured the single Canyon. Based in the Pacific Northwest, he continues to record music from his home studio, produce for fellow artists, and release new material as an independent creator.
