Kristin Cavallari

Kristin Elizabeth Cavallari, born January 5, 1987, is an American television personality, fashion designer, and businesswoman. She first gained public attention in 2004 as a cast member on the MTV reality television series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. She went on to appear in its spin-off series, The Hills, and later starred in her own E! reality television show, Very Cavallari. In addition to her television work, Cavallari has pursued acting and launched several business ventures, including her lifestyle brand Uncommon James.

Cavallari was born in Denver, Colorado, to Judith Eifrig and Dennis Cavallari, and is of Italian and German descent. Following her parents' divorce, she lived in Barrington, Illinois, before moving during her freshman year of high school to Laguna Beach, California, to reside with her father and older brother. She graduated from Laguna Beach High School in 2005 and briefly attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles before leaving to pursue her acting career.

While in her junior year of high school, Cavallari was cast in Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, which documented her personal life and high school relationships. After relocating to Los Angeles, she signed onto the short-lived 2006 reality series Get This Party Started. In 2009, she joined the cast of The Hills during its fifth season, serving as a main cast member and narrator through its final season in 2010. She later competed on season 13 of Dancing with the Stars, co-hosted the lifestyle show The Fabulist, and served as an awards commentator and judge. From 2018 to 2020, she starred in Very Cavallari, which focused on her flagship business operations.

Parallel to her reality television career, Cavallari appeared in various scripted film and television productions. Her acting credits include guest roles on series such as Veronica Mars, CSI: NY, The Middle, and The League, as well as an appearance on 9-1-1: Nashville. Her feature film projects include direct-to-DVD and independent movies such as Fingerprints, Spring Breakdown, Green Flash, Wild Cherry, and National Lampoon's Van Wilder: Freshman Year.

Cavallari entered fashion design through charitable endeavors, collaborating with ShoeDazzle and later creating long-running shoe lines for Chinese Laundry. After co-founding the brand Emerald Duv, she launched her company Uncommon James in 2017, offering jewelry, homeware, and beauty products. She also founded the children's clothing line Little James and released a collection with Feat Clothing. As an author, she published the lifestyle autobiography Balancing in Heels and three New York Times bestselling cookbooks: True Roots, True Comfort, and Truly Simple.

In 2022, Cavallari co-hosted the podcast Back to the Beach with Kristin and Stephen, followed by Let's Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari in 2023, which launched a live tour filmed for her show Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour. In her personal life, Cavallari married Jay Cutler in 2013, with whom she has three children. The family moved to Nashville in 2017, and the couple finalized their divorce in 2022.
