Kristin Cavallari

Kristin Elizabeth Cavallari is an American television personality, fashion designer, and businesswoman born on January 5, 1987. She initially gained widespread recognition in 2004 as a featured cast member on the MTV reality television series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. She later expanded her television presence by starring in the spin-off reality series The Hills and leading her own E! reality television show, Very Cavallari. Beyond reality television, she has built a career as an entrepreneur, author, podcast host, and actress.

Cavallari was born in Denver, Colorado, to Judith Eifrig and Dennis Cavallari, and is of Italian heritage through her father and German heritage through her mother. Following her parents' divorce, she moved with her mother to Barrington, Illinois, where she spent her early years before relocating to Laguna Beach, California, to live with her father and older brother during her freshman year of high school. She graduated from Laguna Beach High School in 2005 and briefly attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles before leaving to pursue an acting career.

Cavallari began her television career while attending high school, appearing on Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County from 2004 to 2005. In 2006, she signed on to host the reality series Get This Party Started. She joined the cast of MTV's The Hills in 2009 for its fifth season, serving as a main cast member and narrator through its final season in 2010. She subsequently competed on the 13th season of Dancing with the Stars, commentated on the Academy Awards for E!, co-hosted the trend show The Fabulist, and served as a judge for Miss Universe 2014. From 2018 to 2020, she starred in E!'s Very Cavallari, which highlighted the launch of her business endeavors.

Alongside her reality television roles, Cavallari pursued acting projects in television and film. She made guest appearances on series such as Veronica Mars, CSI: NY, The Middle, Adventures in Hollyhood, and The League. Her film credits include roles in horror and comedy films, including Fingerprints, Spring Breakdown, Green Flash, Wild Cherry, and National Lampoon's Van Wilder: Freshman Year. She later appeared in 9-1-1: Nashville in 2026.

As a businesswoman and designer, Cavallari initialed fashion ventures through charity collaborations with ShoeDazzle, a shoe line with Chinese Laundry, and jewelry partnerships with GLAMboutique and Emerald Duv. In 2017, she founded her own jewelry company, Uncommon James, which expanded into home goods and beauty products. She also launched a children's clothing brand, Little James, in 2019, and released a limited-edition collection with Feat Clothing in 2021.

Cavallari is also an author and podcast host. She released her autobiography, Balancing in Heels, in 2016, followed by three cookbooks: True Roots, True Comfort, and Truly Simple, all of which achieved New York Times bestseller status. In 2022, she co-hosted the rewatch podcast Back to the Beach with Kristin and Stephen, and launched the relationship podcast Let's Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari in 2023. She married football player Jay Cutler in 2013, with whom she has three children, prior to their divorce in 2022.
