Juno Temple

Juno Violet Temple is an English actress recognized for her performances across feature films and television series. She gained widespread attention for portraying Keeley Jones in the Apple TV+ comedy series Ted Lasso and for leading the fifth season of the anthology drama series Fargo. Her screen work spans major studio blockbusters, independent cinema, and voice roles, including portraying Teddy Paine in Venom: The Last Dance and voicing Ivy in the animated feature film Swapped.

Born on July 21, 1989, in London, England, Temple was raised in Somerset. She is the daughter of film producer Amanda Pirie and film director Julien Temple, and she has two younger brothers, Leo and Felix. Her education included attending Enmore Primary School, King’s College in Taunton, and Bedales School in Hampshire, where she finished her A-levels. After participating in open casting calls and appearing in project work directed by her father, she moved to Los Angeles, California, in 2009 to pursue acting full-time.

Temple began acting as a child, making her screen debut in the 1997 film Vigo: Passion for Life and later appearing in her father’s movie Pandaemonium in 2000. During the mid-to-late 2000s, she built a reputation through a series of supporting performances in feature films such as Notes on a Scandal (2006), Atonement (2007), St Trinian's (2007), Wild Child (2008), and The Other Boleyn Girl (2008). In 2009, she appeared in Year One, Mr. Nobody, Cracks, and St Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold.

In the 2010s, Temple expanded her presence in both independent cinema and mainstream releases. She starred in Dirty Girl (2010), Kaboom (2010), Little Birds (2011), and Killer Joe (2011), alongside playing Anne of Austria in The Three Musketeers (2011). Her subsequent film credits include The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Jack & Diane (2012), Magic Magic (2013), Afternoon Delight (2013), Maleficent (2014) and its 2019 sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Black Mass (2015), and Unsane (2018).

Alongside her film career, Temple took on prominent roles in television. She appeared as a regular or featured performer in Vinyl (2016), Dirty John (2018–2019), and the miniseries The Offer (2022). Her starring role in Ted Lasso began in 2020, followed by her lead role in the fifth season of Fargo from 2023 to 2024. For these television performances, she earned nominations for Primetime Emmy Awards as well as a Golden Globe Award.

Over the course of her career, Temple has received several accolades, including being named a BAFTA Brit to Watch in 2011, winning the EE Rising Star BAFTA Award in 2013, and earning a Best Actress award at the Prague Independent Film Festival in 2020 for Lost Transmissions. Her additional work includes starring in the upcoming Apple TV+ series adaptation The Husbands. Privately, she resided in Los Angeles while in a relationship with actor Michael Angarano from 2013 to 2016, and she married Michal Szymanski in August 2026.
