Jacob Latimore

Jacob O'Neal Latimore Jr. is an American singer, actor, and dancer originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a musician, he has built a catalog of self-released studio albums, while also establishing a screen acting career across major feature films and television series.

Latimore was born on August 10, 1996, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is the son of Latitia Taylor and Jacob Latimore Sr.

His musical career began in his youth with the release of his first single, "Best Friend," in 2005, followed by the single "Superstar" in 2006. In June 2014, Latimore released the song "Heartbreak Heard Around The World," featuring T-Pain. He later transitioned into releasing full-length projects, debuting his self-released studio album, Connection, in 2016.

Following his debut album, Latimore released a sequel project titled Connection2 on April 26, 2019. He continued his music career with his third self-released studio album, C3, in 2020, and subsequently released his fourth studio album, JL, in 2025.

Alongside his music career, Latimore developed a significant presence as a film actor. He co-starred as Langston in the 2013 film Black Nativity and played Ramon in the 2014 movie Ride Along. That same year, he appeared in the feature film The Maze Runner, which premiered in theaters on September 19, 2014. He was subsequently cast in the drama Collateral Beauty, released on December 16, 2016, and played a lead role in the street magic drama Sleight, which hit theaters on April 28, 2017.

Latimore has also worked across television and streaming platforms, starring alongside Sami Gayle in the Netflix Original movie Candy Jar and taking on a main role as Emmett in the Showtime television series The Chi. His other feature film credits include performing voiceover work for Bilal: A New Breed of Hero in 2019, co-starring in the comedy movie Like a Boss in 2020, and appearing in the 2021 drama film Gully.
