Zoë Kravitz

Zoë Isabella Kravitz is an American actress, singer, and filmmaker known for her roles across film, television, and music. Recognized by Time magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People in 2022, she has earned nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award, a Critics' Choice Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award throughout her career.

Born on December 1, 1988, in the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles, Kravitz is the daughter of actress Lisa Bonet and musician Lenny Kravitz. Following her parents' divorce in 1993, she spent her early years in Topanga Canyon before relocating to Miami at age 11 to reside with her father. She graduated from the Rudolf Steiner School in Manhattan in 2007 and briefly studied acting at the State University of New York at Purchase before moving to Brooklyn, New York, to pursue a film career.

Kravitz made her acting debut in the 2007 romantic comedy film No Reservations, followed by an appearance in The Brave One. In 2009, she formed and fronted the band Elevator Fight and co-starred in the independent drama The Greatest. Her breakthrough came in 2011 when she portrayed Angel Salvadore in the superhero film X-Men: First Class. That same year, she had a recurring television role as Pearl in Californication and starred in independent films including It's Kind of a Funny Story and Yelling to the Sky.

Her prominence grew with major franchise roles, including playing Christina in the Divergent series from 2014 to 2016, appearing in Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015, and portraying Leta Lestrange in the Fantastic Beasts series between 2016 and 2018. From 2017 to 2019, Kravitz starred as Bonnie Carlson in the HBO drama series Big Little Lies. During this era, she also voiced Catwoman in The Lego Batman Movie in 2017 and Mary Jane in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in 2018.

In 2020, Kravitz took on a lead role in the Hulu romantic comedy series High Fidelity, winning a Black Reel Award. She played Selina Kyle / Catwoman in live action in the superhero film The Batman in 2022 and starred in the thriller Kimi that same year. Kravitz made her directorial debut with the psychological thriller Blink Twice in 2024, a project she also co-wrote and starred in. She subsequently appeared in the comedy series The Studio in 2025, receiving an Emmy nomination, and co-starred in the crime thriller Caught Stealing.

Alongside her screen career, Kravitz serves as the frontwoman of the music group Lolawolf, which released its debut album Calm Down in 2014. She has contributed to tracks by artists including Taylor Swift, Drake, Janelle Monáe, and Rae Sremmurd. In addition, she has participated in campaigns for fashion brands and designers such as Vera Wang, Alexander Wang, Alexis Bittar, and Dom Pérignon, and collaborated on a jewelry line with Swarovski.
