Park Gyu-young

Park Gyu-young is a South Korean actress and model born on July 27, 1993. She gained wide recognition for her role in the series Sweet Home, which earned her a nomination for Best New Actress, as well as her presence in seasons two and three of Squid Game. Over her career, she transitioned from early supporting parts to leading performances across television dramas, streaming productions, and feature films.

Born in Busan, Park attended Busan Foreign Language High School and became fluent in English. In 2013, she relocated to Seoul to study at Yonsei University within the Department of Clothing and Environment, eventually graduating in 2020. Outside of her professional acting schedule, she maintains balance by adhering to personal wellness routines that include weekly gym workouts and ballet sessions.

Park entered the entertainment industry after talent agents from JYP Entertainment noticed her on a college magazine cover in 2015. She officially debuted in 2016 by appearing in Jo Kwon's music video for the song Crosswalk, followed by several supporting roles in television and web series. In 2018, she made her film debut with a dual performance in Wretches and a role in Love+Sling, leading publication Cine21 to highlight her as an emerging talent. She later signed with Saram Entertainment in August 2019.

Her major breakthrough occurred in 2020 when she landed a prominent second lead role in the drama It's Okay to Not Be Okay. That same year, she played bass guitarist Yoon Ji-su in the Netflix original series Sweet Home, returning for its second and third seasons. Her portrayal earned critical praise and a nomination for Best New Actress – Television at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards.

Following her breakout success, Park secured leading roles in multiple television projects. She appeared in the 2021 legal mystery drama The Devil Judge before starring in her first terrestrial lead role in Dali & Cocky Prince later that year. In 2023, she headlined the Netflix series Celebrity as a makeup saleswoman entering the influencer world, and starred in the webtoon adaptation A Good Day to Be a Dog.

Park further expanded her global visibility by joining the cast of Squid Game for its second and third seasons, playing North Korean sniper Kang No-eul. In 2025, she co-starred in the Netflix action thriller film Mantis. She was also cast alongside Kim Seon-ho in the crime mystery series Unfriend, an adaptation of Chan Ho-kei's novel Second Sister slated for a 2026 launch.

Throughout her career, Park has maintained an extensive commercial portfolio, representing numerous consumer brands. In October 2023, she was appointed a global brand ambassador for Gucci, and she subsequently became a global ambassador for AHC in March 2024. In July 2025, she became the first Korean actress featured on the print cover of Elle India's Luxury Issue.
