Seo Ye-ji

Seo Yea-ji is a South Korean actress born on April 6, 1990. She initially did not intend to pursue acting as a career, but entered the entertainment industry after being persuaded by the head of her talent agency, Made in Chan Entertainment. She began taking on commercial work in March 2013 with a featured role in an SK Telecom advertisement, followed by an appearance in the Samsung Galaxy S4 short film Love. She made her official acting debut later that year in the television sitcom Potato Star 2013QR3, which broadcast 120 episodes between September 2013 and May 2014.

Following her debut, Seo secured a major role in the 2014 historical drama Diary of a Night Watchman, receiving a Best New Actress nomination at the MBC Drama Awards. In 2015, she appeared in the series Super Daddy Yeol and took on a role as a civil servant in Last. Her feature film debut came the same year in the historical drama The Throne, playing Queen Jeongsun, which was followed by a role in the movie Circle of Atonement. She also appeared in the music video for Big Bang's single Let's Not Fall In Love. In 2016, she starred in the television series Moorim School: Saga of the Brave and accepted supporting roles in the drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth and the feature film Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River.

After her contract with Made in Chan Entertainment ended in 2016, Seo joined King Entertainment. She took her first leading film role in the 2017 feature Another Way. Her performance in the mystery thriller series Save Me that same year drew widespread attention. In 2018, she starred in the VR feature Stay With Me alongside Kim Jung-hyun and portrayed an impulsive attorney in Lawless Lawyer alongside Lee Joon-gi, a series that achieved high viewership on cable television. She followed these projects with roles in the 2019 films Warning: Do Not Play and By Quantum Physics: A Nightlife Venture.

In January 2020, Seo transferred to the agency Gold Medalist. Her breakthrough role came later that year starring opposite Kim Soo-hyun in the romantic comedy series It's Okay to Not Be Okay. Portraying a children's book writer with a personality disorder, her work gained international critical recognition and significantly expanded her public profile. In 2021, she starred in the mystery thriller film Recalled, which reached the top of the domestic box office during its opening weekend.

Seo renewed her contract with Gold Medalist in December 2021 and starred in the drama Eve in 2022, before parting ways with the agency in November 2023. She later signed with the agency Sublime in June 2024. In January 2026, she made her stage debut in the play Crying for You as Yun Sim-deok, and signed an exclusive contract with B.Wave Entertainment in July 2026.

In addition to her acting roles, Seo was named an honorary police officer by the Korean National Police Agency in December 2018. She has represented several lifestyle, health, and cosmetic brands, including Inner Flora, New Origin, Yuhan Care, Aer, Rieti, and Luna, while also appearing in promotional campaigns for Naver Webtoon.
