Jisoo

Kim Ji-soo, known mononymously as Jisoo, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actress. Born on January 3, 1995, in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, she achieved global fame as a member of the K-pop girl group Blackpink, which debuted under YG Entertainment in August 2016. Within the group, she serves as a lead vocalist and visual, contributing to Blackpink's rise as one of the most commercially successful and influential girl groups internationally.

Prior to her musical debut, Jisoo appeared in commercial campaigns and made cameo appearances in South Korean television productions, including the 2015 drama series The Producers. Following Blackpink's global success, she expanded into acting, starring in her first lead role in the JTBC drama series Snowdrop (2021–2022). Beyond acting and music, she has established a major presence in fashion, serving as a global ambassador for luxury brands such as Dior and Cartier.

In March 2023, Jisoo launched her solo music career with the release of the single album Me. Supported by the lead single Flower, the release achieved major commercial success and became the first album by a South Korean female soloist to sell over one million copies. In early 2024, she established her independent agency, Blissoo, to manage her solo activities while continuing her group work with Blackpink.

Jisoo has received numerous accolades for her contributions to music and television, including honors at the Seoul International Drama Awards, Mnet Asian Music Awards, and Golden Disc Awards. She remains actively engaged in solo musical projects, acting roles, and global brand partnerships.
