Jung Hae-in

Jung Hae-in is a South Korean actor born on April 1, 1988. He first gained national attention through supporting roles in television before advancing to prominent leading parts across romantic, historical, and dramatic productions. His lineage traces back to Chŏng Yagyong, a prominent intellectual of the late Joseon era.

Jung pursued a degree in Broadcasting Entertainment at Pyeongtaek University, where he participated in musical theater and various campus activities. Although his initial acting exposure occurred in a college musical, his determination to pursue a professional career in acting solidified during his mandatory military service, which he began at twenty-one years old. Following his discharge and graduation, he signed with his talent agency.

At twenty-six years old, Jung made his professional screen debut in 2014 with the television project Bride of the Century, followed by the independent feature The Youth and the historical drama series The Three Musketeers. From 2014 through 2016, he built his early resume through minor roles and guest appearances, including a recognizable cameo as the protagonist's initial romantic interest in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.

Jung experienced a significant public breakthrough in 2017 through the fantasy romance series While You Were Sleeping, which drove his name to the top search position on the Korean portal Naver. The same year, he appeared in two period films, The King's Case Note and Conspiracy: Age of Rebellion, and earned critical recognition for playing an army officer in the dark comedy Prison Playbook. In 2018, he played King Heonjong in the historical film Heung-boo: The Revolutionist.

Jung landed his first television leading role in the 2018 romantic drama Something in the Rain alongside Son Ye-jin, leading to widespread popularity across Asia. He subsequently starred in the period feature Tune in for Love alongside Kim Go-eun. In 2019, he portrayed a gang-affiliated former student in the film Start-Up and starred in the romance drama One Spring Night with Han Ji-min. He then headlined the 2020 romantic series A Piece of Your Mind alongside Chae Soo-bin.

In 2021, Jung took the lead in the Netflix military drama D.P., playing a military police officer tracking down deserters, and starred in the JTBC series Snowdrop opposite Jisoo. He also participated in the short film project Unframed, written and directed by Lee Je-hoon. He later starred in the 2022 Disney+ series Connect, returned for the second season of D.P. in 2023, and featured in the 2024 film I, the Executioner. His recent projects include the 2024 romantic comedy Love Next Door with Jung So-min and the television series Our Sticky Love.
