Park Hyung Sik

Park Hyung-sik is a South Korean actor and singer who first gained public attention as a member of the boy group ZE:A. Over the course of his career, he has transitioned into a prominent television and musical theater actor. He is widely recognized for his roles in popular television series including Strong Girl Bong-soon, Happiness, Doctor Slump, and Buried Hearts.

Born on November 16, 1991, in Giheung District, Yongin, South Korea, Park grew up as the second of two sons. His father served on the board of directors at BMW Korea, and his mother worked as a piano teacher. Given his name by a Buddhist monk, Park developed an interest in singing during middle school, joining his school band as a vocalist. After competing in Yongin's Youth Music Contest, he received business card offers from entertainment agencies and subsequently began high school training. He initially trained with one agency before moving to Star Empire Entertainment to complete his preparation.

Before his official debut, Park appeared in music videos, modeled for a school uniform brand, and was featured in reality shows documenting trainees. On January 7, 2010, he officially debuted as a member of Star Empire's boy group ZE:A with the single album Nativity. He soon expanded into cameo television roles and musical theater, making his stage debut in Temptation of Wolves in 2011. He launched his formal acting career in 2012 with the special drama I Remember You and later performed in musicals such as Gwanghwamun Love Song, Bonnie & Clyde, and The Three Musketeers.

Park's public profile grew significantly in 2013 following his appearance on the reality show Real Men, where he earned the nickname Baby Soldier. He subsequently secured key television roles in dramas such as The Heirs, What's With This Family, High Society, and Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth. In 2017, Park starred in his first leading role in the cable drama Strong Girl Bong-soon, followed by the legal drama remake Suits in 2018. He made his feature film debut in 2019's Juror 8, earning the Best New Actor award at the 39th Korean Association of Film Critics Awards.

In June 2019, Park enlisted for his mandatory military service, serving active duty in the military police department under the Capital Defense Command and II Corps before his discharge in January 2021. Upon returning to screen, he starred in the apocalyptic thriller Happiness, the four-episode series Soundtrack #1, the reality show In the Soop: Friendcation, and the historical drama Our Blooming Youth. In 2024, he starred as the male lead in the romantic comedy Doctor Slump.

In 2025, Park took on roles in the revenge drama Buried Hearts and the fantasy superhero series Twelve. That same year, he released his first Japanese mini-album, Beginning. Beyond his performance career, Park served as an honorary ambassador for the Korea Tourism Organization and brand ambassador for Pret-a-Porter Busan in 2012. He co-founded the agency P&Studio in 2021 before establishing his own management agency, RÊVE, in July 2025.
