Choi Seung-cheol

Choi Seung-cheol, known professionally by his stage name S.Coups, is a South Korean rapper, singer, and songwriter born on August 8, 1995, in Daegu, South Korea. He is best known as the overall leader of the South Korean boy group Seventeen, managed by Pledis Entertainment, as well as the leader of the group's designated hip-hop sub-unit.

Choi joined Pledis Entertainment as a trainee in 2009 and spent six years in training prior to his official debut. During his pre-debut period, he appeared on the online broadcast program Seventeen TV to introduce the agency's prospective group members. He officially debuted with Seventeen in May 2015 upon the release of their first mini-album, 17 Carat. Beyond group releases, Choi has contributed to music composition and songwriting for Seventeen's discography and participated in internal sub-unit projects, such as SVT Leaders alongside group members Hoshi and Woozi.

Over the course of his career, Choi has achieved widespread international commercial success with Seventeen, performing in global concert tours and earning numerous Korean and international music industry awards. In addition to music, he has expanded into fashion endorsements, brand ambassadorships, and media appearances on television shows and web programs. He continues to maintain an active role in Seventeen's musical releases and group activities.
