Joshua Hong

Joshua Hong, known mononymously as Joshua, is an American singer based in South Korea. Born on December 30, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, he is best known as a member and lead vocalist of the South Korean boy group Seventeen, managed by Pledis Entertainment. He is also a primary member of the group's specialized Vocal Team sub-unit.

Hong grew up in Los Angeles, where he developed an interest in music and learned to play guitar. In 2013, he was scouted by a representative from Pledis Entertainment and subsequently moved to Seoul to train in singing, dancing, and Korean language skills. Prior to his official debut, he appeared in early seasons of the online broadcast series Seventeen TV, which documented the agency's trainees preparing for their performance careers.

Joshua debuted as a member of Seventeen in May 2015 with the release of their debut extended play, 17 Carat. Within the group, he serves as a lead vocalist and frequently acts as a spokesperson during international promotional activities. Over the years, Seventeen has achieved significant global success, releasing multiple multi-platinum albums and headlining worldwide concert tours. Beyond group music releases, Joshua has participated in collaborative music tracks, soundtrack recordings, and brand endorsement campaigns.
