Boo Seung-kwan

Boo Seung-kwan, known mononymously as Seungkwan, is a South Korean singer and television personality. Born on January 16, 1998, in Busan and raised on Jeju Island, South Korea, he is best known as a main vocalist for the South Korean boy group Seventeen, managed by Pledis Entertainment. He is also a member of the group's sub-units, including the Vocal Team and the trio BSS alongside bandmates Hoshi and DK.

Seungkwan was scouted by Pledis Entertainment after a video of him singing at a school festival was posted online. He trained for over three years before officially debuting with Seventeen in May 2015. Beyond group activities, he has contributed vocals to soundtrack recordings for various television dramas and debuted as a solo artist with the single Dandelion in February 2024.

In addition to his musical career, Seungkwan has established himself as a prominent variety show personality. Known for his humor, hosting abilities, and commentary skills, he has appeared on numerous television and streaming programs, including Unexpected Q, Racket Boys, and the Netflix survival show The Devil's Plan. His work in broadcast entertainment earned him the Rookie Award at the 2018 MBC Entertainment Awards.

Seungkwan continues to be active in both the music industry and television entertainment, participating in Seventeen's global concert tours, album releases, and promotional ambassador roles.
