Jeon Soyeon

Jeon So-yeon, known mononymously as Soyeon, is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer signed under Cube Entertainment. She is best known as the leader and main rapper of the K-pop girl group i-dle (formerly (G)I-DLE). In addition to her group work, she has built a prominent solo career and gained widespread recognition for writing and producing the majority of her group's discography.

Jeon first came to public attention in 2016 as a contestant on the reality survival shows Produce 101 and Unpretty Rapstar 3. Following these appearances, she made her official solo debut in November 2017 with the digital single Jelly. In May 2018, she debuted as the leader of (G)I-DLE with their first mini-album, I Am. Outside of her main group, she has voiced the character Akali in Riot Games' virtual K-pop music groups K/DA and True Damage, and released her debut solo extended play, Windy, in July 2021.

Throughout her career, Jeon has distinguished herself as one of the few prominent female idol producers in the Korean music industry. Her creative contributions earned her full membership in the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) in January 2024. Alongside her recording and production work, she has served as a mentor and producer on music competition television programs, including My Teen Girl.

Jeon continues to work actively as a performer, songwriter, and producer, driving creative projects for both her group and solo endeavors.
