Shuhua

Yeh Shu-hua, known mononymously as Shuhua, is a Taiwanese singer based in South Korea. She is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group I-dle, which debuted as (G)I-dle under Cube Entertainment in May 2018.

Shuhua was born on January 6, 2000, in Yangmei, Taoyuan, Taiwan, as the second of three daughters. She is of mixed ancestry, with a Han Chinese father of the Hakka subgroup and an Atayal mother from one of the Taiwanese indigenous peoples. Her native language is Mandarin, and she is also proficient in Korean with a good command of English and Japanese, though she has acknowledged not being fully fluent in Hakka. She attended Hwa Kang Arts School in Taipei with a focus on theatre and developed an interest in K-pop after being inspired by Hyuna.

Having planned to become a celebrity in her youth, Shuhua was recruited by Cube Entertainment during the Cube Star World Audition in May 2016. After completing her first year of high school, she moved to South Korea to train. Prior to her official debut, she participated in a promotional video for Rising Star Cosmetics in June 2017 alongside her future bandmates Yuqi and Minnie. In September 2017, she appeared as an actress in the music video for 10cm's song "Pet" alongside Yoo Seon-ho.

Following two years as a trainee, Shuhua officially debuted as a member of (G)I-dle on May 2, 2018, with the release of the mini-album I Am. Outside of group releases, she competed at the 16th Idol Star Athletics Championships in 2019, where she won a bronze medal in rhythmic gymnastics. In December 2020, she performed Apink's "I Don't Know" as part of the 2020 KBS Song Festival Maknae Special Stage alongside Yuna, Jang Won-young, and Arin. That same month, she appeared with Yuqi in a cooking competition on the South Korean television program Paik Father Don't Stop The Food!.

Shuhua was selected as the host for the web entertainment show Workdol in 2023. She temporarily paused her schedule on February 8, 2024, due to health issues, before returning to group activities on March 21, 2024, for a performance at the MLB Seoul Series. She was subsequently featured in the May 2024 edition of GQ Taiwan's GQ Global Creativity Awards.

In addition to her entertainment projects, Shuhua expanded into commercial endorsements. In April 2024, she became a brand ambassador for the shoe brand D+AF and the women's bag brand Robinmay. In October 2025, she was appointed as a tourism ambassador for her hometown of Taoyuan, Taiwan.
