Chou Tzuyu

Chou Tzu-yu, known mononymously as Tzuyu, is a Taiwanese singer and dancer based in South Korea. She is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group Twice, formed by JYP Entertainment in 2015. Born in Tainan, Taiwan, in June 1999, she moved to South Korea to train under JYP Entertainment before making her official music debut.

Tzuyu was introduced to the public through the 2015 reality survival show Sixteen, which established the final lineup for Twice. The group made its official debut in October 2015 with the extended play The Story Begins. Twice rapidly gained international fame with hit singles such as Cheer Up, TT, and Fancy, establishing a prominent career in both the South Korean and Japanese music markets.

In September 2024, Tzuyu made her debut as a solo artist with the release of her first extended play, Aboutzu, led by the single Run Away. Outside of group and solo musical releases, she has participated in various global brand endorsements, fashion campaigns, and television broadcasts while continuing her activities with Twice.
