Yoo Jeong-yeon

Yoo Jeong-yeon, known mononymously as Jeongyeon, is a South Korean singer and actress. She gained international prominence as a lead vocalist of the K-pop girl group Twice, which was formed by JYP Entertainment in 2015 through the reality competition show Sixteen. Born in Suwon, South Korea, she trained under JYP Entertainment for five years prior to her official debut.

As a core member of Twice, Jeongyeon contributed to the group's widespread global success and extensive discography, participating in numerous hit singles, studio albums, and major world concert tours. Alongside her musical group achievements, she co-hosted the music program Inkigayo from 2016 to 2017 with her sister, actress Gong Seung-yeon, for which they won an SBS Entertainment Award. Over the years, she has also contributed to soundtrack recordings and group songwriting.

In August 2026, Jeongyeon departed JYP Entertainment after eleven years with the agency and signed an exclusive management contract with VARO Entertainment to pursue acting while remaining active in Twice's group projects.
