Miyeon

Cho Mi-yeon, known mononymously as Miyeon, is a South Korean singer and actress born on January 31, 1997. She is a member and vocalist of the South Korean girl group (G)I-dle under Cube Entertainment. She is also recognized for voicing the character Ahri in the virtual K-pop girl group K/DA.

Miyeon was raised as an only child and developed a strong interest in singing during her childhood, inspired by her father. Her parents enrolled her in music schools where she learned piano, guitar, and violin. In middle school, she auditioned for YG Entertainment and spent five years training there before leaving. She subsequently attended a music academy to study vocal techniques, composition, and production. After working as a freelance singer—including an appearance on tour with Lim Seul-ong in 2016—she joined Cube Entertainment in early 2017 and trained for about a year.

Miyeon officially debuted with (G)I-dle on May 2, 2018, releasing their first extended play, I Am, and its lead single, "Latata." Later that year, she voiced Ahri, the main vocalist character for League of Legends' virtual group K/DA, performing "Pop/Stars" at the 2018 League of Legends World Finals Opening Ceremony. She reprised the role in 2020 for K/DA's EP All Out, contributing to the singles "The Baddest" and "More."

In 2019, Miyeon collaborated with Hangzoo on the song "Cart," and in 2020 she competed on the music show King of Mask Singer. She made her acting debut in late 2020 as the lead character Yoo Hayoung in the web-drama Replay: The Moment, contributing original soundtrack songs to the series. She also performed soundtracks for television dramas such as Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol and Tale of the Nine Tailed, and appeared on the variety travel program Seoul Connects U.

In February 2021, Miyeon became the host of the Naver Now radio show Gossip Idle and co-hosted the Mnet music program M Countdown, a position she held for 1,000 days until November 2023. Throughout 2021, she participated in various musical projects, including the solo pop-ballad "You Were My Breath," collaborations with Raiden, Lee Donghae, and Kid Milli, and a performance on Kingdom: Legendary War. She also expanded her acting resume with roles in the web series Delivery and Adult Trainee.

Miyeon made her official solo debut on April 27, 2022, with the EP My and its lead single "Drive," winning her first solo music program trophy shortly after. In September 2023, she released "How to Twerk" with bandmate Yuqi for Street Woman Fighter 2. She released her first self-composed single, "Sky Walking," in August 2025, followed by her second EP, My, Lover, in November 2025. In August 2026, she released her debut Japanese single, "Run Away." Alongside her music and acting career, Miyeon has served as a brand ambassador or muse for companies including Espoir, Bewants, J.Estina, City Breeze, Jill Stuart Beauty, Jimmy Choo, Shenyang soju, and Wakemake.
