Hsu Kuang-han

Hsu Kuang-han is a Taiwanese actor and singer who gained widespread recognition across Asia through his roles in prominent television series and feature films. Born in Taiwan on October 31, 1990, he established a high-profile career in the entertainment industry, earning accolades for both his screen acting and musical releases. He is particularly recognized for his central role in the television series Someday or One Day, along with various other acclaimed television and cinematic projects.

Hsu grew up in Taiwan, where his father served as a soldier in the Republic of China Army. His middle name was chosen in accordance with his family's generational naming convention. During his youth, he dealt with asthma and, at his mother's encouragement, participated in competitive national table tennis tournaments. He entered the entertainment field at age thirteen, appearing in the music video for Jay Chou's song Class 3-2. After attending elementary school in New Taipei City, he completed his secondary education in Taipei, acting as lead vocalist for his high school's music club. He later attended Chinese Culture University alongside actor Sunny Sun, studying mass communications and earning a degree in information management while working as a fashion model.

Hsu began his screen career in 2013 with a debut role in the Malaysian television drama Dive into Love. In 2015, he undertook formal training at Q Place, an acting school established by director Wang Shaudi. He subsequently starred in the television series Love of Sandstorm and Have You Ever Fallen in Love, Miss Jiang?, earning a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 52nd Golden Bell Awards for the latter production.

In 2019, Hsu expanded his screen credits by appearing in the Netflix series Nowhere Man and the feature film A Sun, which was shortlisted for an Academy Award. His breakthrough came as the lead actor in the popular series Someday or One Day, which ran from 2019 to 2020 and earned him a nomination for Best Leading Actor at the 55th Golden Bell Awards. He also starred in the 2021 film My Love. His rising profile earned him a place on the 2020 Forbes China Celebrity 100 list, where he was ranked 69th.

In addition to acting, Hsu launched a music career. He released his initial single, Yesterday No More, in 2020, which topped the KKBox charts in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia. He released his self-titled debut studio album the following year, resulting in a nomination for Best New Artist at the 33rd Golden Melody Awards in 2022. On July 14, 2022, luxury fashion brand Fendi announced Hsu as a brand ambassador.

In August 2024, Hsu announced that he was fulfilling his mandatory one-year military obligation in Taiwan. He initially enlisted as a trainee at Cheng-gong Ridge Camp in Taichung on August 20, 2024, and commenced active duty at Zhongxhing New Village in Nantou City on September 13, 2024, with his service concluding upon his discharge on August 6, 2025.
