Ismael Cruz Córdova

Ismael Enrique Cruz Córdova is a Puerto Rican actor who earned widespread recognition for his portrayal of Mando on the children's television program Sesame Street. Over the course of his career, he has built a diverse screen portfolio across both television series and feature films.

Cruz Córdova pursued his higher education at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts after transferring into the institution. During his final year of study, he served as a resident assistant within a dormitory for freshman students.

Following his early work, Cruz Córdova built his career through a steady succession of roles in major television projects. He appeared in the drama series The Good Wife in 2011 and later joined the cast of the Showtime series Ray Donovan in 2016. That same year, he landed a recurring role in the third season of Berlin Station, playing the character Rafael Torres, an SOG operative.

In addition to his television roles, he expanded into feature films with appearances in In the Blood in 2014, Exposed in 2016, and Ang Lee's Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk in 2016. He continued working in prominent film productions, taking on roles in historical and action dramas such as Mary Queen of Scots in 2018, Miss Bala in 2019, and the sci-fi feature Settlers in 2021.

Cruz Córdova has also appeared in prominent episodic television roles. He played a featured character in the 2019 star Wars series episode "Chapter 6: The Prisoner" of The Mandalorian, appeared in the limited series The Undoing in 2020, and starred in the episode "The Dreams in the Witch House" for Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities in 2022.

In September 2022, Cruz Córdova premiered in one of his most high-profile roles to date, playing the elf Arondir in the Amazon Prime fantasy series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, a ongoing project he continues to work on.
