Yang Ying, professionally known by her stage name Angelababy, is a Chinese actress, singer, and model born on February 28, 1989. She established herself as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, earning recognition as one of the New Four Dan Actresses by Southern Metropolis Entertainment Weekly in 2013. Over the course of her career, she has starred in numerous films and television series while also becoming a household name as a regular cast member on the Chinese variety show Keep Running from 2014 to 2023.

Angelababy was born in Shanghai to a Shanghainese mother and a father from Hong Kong who is of half-Chinese and half-German descent. Her father operated a fashion business in Shanghai, which inspired her early passion for mixing and matching clothes at his store. At thirteen, she moved to Hong Kong and subsequently signed a contract with Style International Management at fourteen. She derived her professional name by combining her English name, Angela, with her childhood nickname, Baby.

She began modeling at age fourteen, frequently working alongside Janice Man as a duo and co-founding the streetwear brand CHOICE. Angelababy made her acting debut in 2007 with a cameo in Trivial Matters, followed by a supporting role in Short of Love in 2009. She secured her first leading role in the 2011 film Love You You, contributing a duet to the soundtrack. She later won Most Anticipated Actress at the 13th Chinese Film Media Awards for First Time in 2012, and Most Popular Actress at the 21st Beijing College Student Film Festival for Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon in 2013.

Her career expanded significantly after joining Keep Running in 2014, the same year she starred in Love on the Cloud and was crowned Weibo Goddess and Weibo Queen. She made her Hollywood debut in Hitman: Agent 47 and later appeared in Independence Day: Resurgence. In domestic cinema, her performance in the tomb-raiding film Mojin: The Lost Legend earned her the Best Supporting Actress award at the 33rd Hundred Flowers Awards. Her major television credits include roles in Love Yunge from the Desert, General and I, Entrepreneurial Age, My True Friend, and Twilight.

In addition to acting, Angelababy launched her venture capital fund, AB Capital, in 2015 and invested in businesses spanning e-commerce, food and beverage, and entertainment ventures like Cool Style. In 2016, she became the youngest person listed on the Hurun Philanthropy List due to significant charitable contributions made alongside her then-husband, actor Huang Xiaoming. The couple married in 2015, had a son nicknamed Xiaohaimian in 2017, and divorced in 2022. She previously dated actor William Chan from 2005 to 2010.

Following her divorce, Angelababy faced career disruptions in late 2023 tied to reports of her attending a show in Paris, leading to temporary muting on Chinese social media platforms and her departure from Running Man. Her online accounts were restored in early 2024, and she subsequently launched a professional comeback with web drama releases including Everlasting Longing and Back for You.
