Adrian Grenier

Adrian Sean Grenier is an American actor, director, producer, and musician born on July 10, 1976. He is best known for portraying Vincent Chase in the HBO series Entourage from 2004 to 2011. Throughout his career, Grenier has worked across feature films, television, documentary filmmaking, and musical projects, alongside environmental advocacy and business ventures.

Grenier was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to Karesse Grenier and John Dunbar. Raised by his mother in New York City, he attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts and Bard College. A 2012 episode of Finding Your Roots revealed Native American ancestry through his direct matrilineal line, linking him to Diego de Montoya, a 16th-century encomienda leader in New Mexico. Grenier self-identifies as part Apache Indian.

Grenier left Bard in 1997 to pursue acting, debuting in Arresting Gena. He subsequently appeared in Drive Me Crazy and Harvard Man. His breakthrough came in 2004 as Vincent Chase in Entourage, a role he reprised in the 2015 film adaptation. His other film and television credits include The Devil Wears Prada, Goodbye World, Trash Fire, Marauders, and the 2021 Netflix miniseries Clickbait. Outside acting, he has served as a campus advisor for the Academy for Global Citizenship in Chicago.

In 2001, Grenier co-founded Reckless Productions to create socially minded films. He made his directorial debut with the 2002 documentary Shot in the Dark, which documented his reunion with his estranged father. He produced the 2008 television series Alter Eco and directed the 2010 documentary Teenage Paparazzo, which explored celebrity media culture. Grenier also served as a producer for the 2013 feature documentary How to Make Money Selling Drugs, which examined domestic drug policy through interviews with former dealers and prominent public figures.

As a musician, Grenier plays guitar, bass, drums, and harmonica. He was the lead singer for Kid Friendly and drummer for The Honey Brothers. In 2012, he launched Wreckroom, a music incubator and recording studio that hosted showcases and released records for emerging bands. In early 2024, he co-wrote the song "the master and margarita" with artist SORAYA, a track inspired by the Russian novel of the same name.

A proponent of sustainable living, Grenier co-founded the lifestyle brand SHFT.com in 2010, winning two Webby Awards for its digital platform. In 2014, he helped launch the SHFT Mobile Kitchen Classroom for New York City high school students. He was appointed a United Nations Environment Programme Goodwill Ambassador in 2017 following his work with the Lonely Whale Foundation. Additionally, Grenier advocates for Bitcoin and has pursued developing a cryptocurrency-based farming community in Texas.

Grenier married Jordan Roemmele in Morocco in 2022. They had a son in June 2023 and announced a second pregnancy in November 2024. In political affairs, Grenier endorsed Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, emphasizing environmental policy and expressing criticism of Donald Trump's views on climate change.
