Kwon Yu-ri

Kwon Yu-ri, known mononymously as Yuri, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actress. Born on December 5, 1989, in Goyang, South Korea, she achieved international prominence after debuting in August 2007 as a member of the acclaimed K-pop girl group Girls' Generation under SM Entertainment. Within the group, she served as a lead dancer and vocalist, contributing to landmark releases that helped establish the group as one of the best-selling music acts in South Korea.

In addition to her activities with Girls' Generation, Kwon pursued solo musical projects and acting roles across television, film, and theater. She made her television acting debut in the 2012 drama series Fashion King, followed by starring roles in series such as Local Hero, Innocent Defendant, Bossam: Steal the Fate, Good Job, and Parole Examiner Lee. Her film work includes the 2013 sports drama No Breathing. In October 2018, she officially debuted as a solo recording artist with the release of her first extended play, The First Scene.

Over the course of her career, Kwon has received recognition for her television performances, including Popularity Awards at the Baeksang Arts Awards and SBS Drama Awards. She has also participated in numerous variety and reality programs as a host and cast member. Following nearly two decades of solo and group promotions with her long-time agency, her exclusive management contract with SM Entertainment concluded in August 2026, while maintaining her affiliation with Girls' Generation for future group endeavors.
