Kelly Brook

Kelly Brook, born Kelly Anne Parsons on 23 November 1979, is an English model, actress, and media personality. She first gained national attention through her modelling career, appearing in advertising campaigns and major publications, before expanding into television presenting, film acting, and radio broadcasting.

Brook was raised in Rochester, Kent, by her mother, Sandra Kelly, a cook, and her father, Kenneth Parsons, a scaffolder. She grew up alongside a younger brother, Damian, and an older half-sister, Sasha. She attended the Thomas Aveling School in Rochester and briefly considered becoming a Catholic nun after working at a bakery beside a convent. At age seventeen, she appeared in sketches for the BBC comedy series Fist of Fun in 1996. She trained for three years at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts before becoming a professional model at the age of sixteen.

Her modelling career began after her mother entered her into a beauty competition, which she won at sixteen. She subsequently secured advertising campaigns for brands including Foster's Lager, Renault Mégane, Walker's crisps, Piz Buin, and Bravissimo. Her profile expanded when she was featured as a Page 3 girl in the Daily Star tabloid, leading to appearances in publications such as GQ, Loaded, and FHM. Brook topped FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World list in 2005 and featured in every countdown from 1998 through 2015. Her commercial portfolio later included representing Unilever's Lynx body spray, Ultimo lingerie, Skechers, and launching clothing lines with New Look and Simply Be.

Brook made her film debut in the 2000 movie Sorted, followed by a role in Ripper in 2001. She played Lex Luthor's girlfriend in four episodes of Smallville, and took roles in feature films including The Italian Job, School for Seduction, House of 9, Survival Island, Keith Lemon: The Film, and the horror-comedy Piranha 3D. In 2014, she was cast in the NBC sitcom One Big Happy. Her theatre work includes stage appearances in Eye Contact at the Riverside Studios, Fat Pig at London's Comedy Theatre, and Calendar Girls at the Noël Coward Theatre.

In television presenting, Brook hosted youth programming on MTV UK & Ireland, Granada Television, and Trouble TV, before co-hosting The Big Breakfast in 1999 and hosting Celebrity Love Island in 2005. She has participated in various reality television shows, competing in Strictly Come Dancing in 2007, from which she withdrew following her father's death. She served as a judge on Dirty Dancing: The Time of Your Life and Britain's Got Talent, and acted as a panel team captain on Celebrity Juice and It's Not Me, It's You. Later reality appearances include The Masked Dancer, Celebrity Race Across the World, and I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.

Beyond screen work, Brook co-opened the London bar Steam and Rye in 2013, which won Bar of the Year at the London Club and Bar Awards in 2014. She published an autobiography in September 2014, which reached the Sunday Times Bestseller list. In radio broadcasting, she has co-presented Heart London's Drivetime show alongside Jason King since January 2019. In July 2022, she married her partner Jeremy Parisi.
