V

V, born Kim Tae-hyung on December 30, 1995, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actor. He is best known as a member of the global pop group BTS, which debuted under Big Hit Entertainment in 2013. Renowned for his distinct baritone vocal range and expressive stage presence, V has established himself as a prominent figure in contemporary music and international entertainment.

Beyond his ensemble work with BTS, V has released several popular solo tracks under the group's discography, including Stigma, Singularity, and Inner Child. He has also contributed original songs to television soundtracks, performing tracks such as Sweet Night for the series Itaewon Class and Christmas Tree for Our Beloved Summer. As an actor, he made his television debut in the 2016 historical drama series Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth.

In September 2023, V released his debut solo studio album, Layover, which featured tracks such as Love Me Again, Rainy Days, and Slow Dancing. The project highlighted his affinity for R&B, soul, and jazz genres and achieved significant commercial success on music charts worldwide. He followed the album with additional solo singles, including the release of Fri(end)s in 2024.
