Riley Keough

Danielle Riley Keough is an American actress and former model. Born into the Presley family on May 29, 1989, she is the eldest daughter of singer-songwriter Lisa Marie Presley and musician Danny Keough, as well as the eldest grandchild of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley. Before transitioning to an acting career, she worked as a fashion model from 2004 to 2008.

Keough was born in Santa Monica, California, and was raised primarily by her father in Hawaii and Los Angeles, as well as at her mother's Los Angeles home and the Graceland Estate in Memphis, Tennessee. Her parents divorced when she was five years old, after which her mother had short-lived marriages to Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage. She briefly attended public school in the San Fernando Valley before being homeschooled due to frequent travel. Following her brother Benjamin's death in 2020, she became a certified death doula.

At age 15, Keough began modeling, appearing in runway shows for Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Dior, and featuring on the covers of publications such as Vogue, Elle Japon, Vogue Korea, Jalouse, and L'Officiel. She made her feature film acting debut in 2010 portraying Marie Currie in the musical biopic The Runaways. In the following years, she took on roles in films such as The Good Doctor, Jack & Diane, Magic Mike, Yellow, Kiss of the Damned, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Dixieland. During this period, she also served as an ambassador for the Australian fashion brand Bonds.

Keough achieved her critical breakthrough in 2016 starring as a law student-turned-escort in the first season of the anthology television series The Girlfriend Experience, which earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination. That same year, her performance in Andrea Arnold's drama American Honey earned her an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Her subsequent film projects included Lovesong, The Discovery, It Comes at Night, Logan Lucky, The House That Jack Built, Under the Silver Lake, The Lodge, Earthquake Bird, The Devil All the Time, Zola, and Sasquatch Sunset, the latter of which she also executive produced.

In 2017, Keough co-founded the production company Felix Culpa with Gina Gammell. The duo co-directed and produced the 2022 drama War Pony, which won the Camera d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. On television, she starred in the thriller series The Terminal List and portrayed a 1970s singer-songwriter in the miniseries Daisy Jones & the Six, performing lead vocals for its album Aurora and earning Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy Award nominations.

Following her mother's death in 2023, Keough became the sole owner and guardian of the Graceland estate. She completed her mother's unfinished memoir, titled From Here to the Great Unknown, which was published in October 2024 with both credited as co-authors. That same month, she performed at Chanel's Spring-Summer 2025 Ready to Wear show. Keough married stuntman Ben Smith-Petersen in 2015, and the couple has two children.
