Ahn Bo-hyun

Ahn Bo-hyun is a South Korean actor, television personality, and model. Born in Busan, South Korea, on May 16, 1988, he attended Busan Sports High School, where he competed in amateur boxing and secured a gold medal. Before transitioning into acting, he began his career in the entertainment industry by debuting as a model in 2007.

Ahn officially made his acting debut in 2014 and subsequently took on roles across various films and television series. His early television work includes appearances in the dramas Descendants of the Sun in 2016, Dokgo Rewind in 2018, and Her Private Life in 2019.

He achieved a major professional breakthrough in 2020 through his performance as the villainous character Jang Geun-won in the popular series Itaewon Class. Following this success, he secured lead roles in several prominent productions, including the Netflix drama My Name in 2021, tvN's Yumi's Cells from 2021 to 2022, Military Prosecutor Doberman in 2022, See You in My 19th Life in 2023, and Flex X Cop in 2024. He was later cast as Seon Jae-gyu, a company chief executive, alongside Lee Joo-bin in the tvN romantic-comedy series Spring Fever, an adaptation of a web novel by Baek Min-a.

For his acting achievements in Yumi's Cells and My Name, Ahn earned significant industry recognition when he was awarded the Excellence Award for Actor in an OTT Drama at the 8th APAN Star Awards on September 29, 2022.

Beyond his acting career, Ahn has been involved in public appointments and charitable efforts. On November 12, 2021, after playing a police detective in My Name, he was appointed as an honorary marine police officer by the Namhae Coast Guard. Additionally, on May 28, 2022, he marked World Menstruation Day by contributing 528 boxes of sanitary napkins to underprivileged individuals through the G-Foundation Foundation.

In his personal life, his agency FN Entertainment acknowledged on August 3, 2023, that he was in a relationship with Blackpink member and actress Jisoo. Two months after their public confirmation, the couple ended their relationship as a result of their demanding work schedules.
