Kim Da-mi

Kim Da-mi is a South Korean actress who gained widespread recognition for her performances in film and television. She first achieved prominent notice for taking on the main role in the 2018 action-mystery feature film The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion. She later expanded her popularity through lead roles in the television dramas Itaewon Class and Our Beloved Summer.

Kim launched her professional acting career in 2017 by appearing in the independent omnibus feature film 2017 Project With The Same Name. In the segment titled Hello, My Hard Work, she portrayed a woman dealing with a recent relationship breakup.

In 2018, Kim played a high school student in the mystery thriller movie Marionette. Later that same year, she secured the central role of Koo Ja-yoon in Park Hoon-jung's action-mystery film The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion. She earned the part after auditioning against roughly 1,500 other candidates. Her portrayal, which required performing demanding fight sequences, garnered widespread critical praise and led to a scheduled sequel.

Following her film success, Kim made her debut on television in 2020 by starring in the JTBC drama series Itaewon Class, an adaptation of a webtoon bearing the same title. The following year, she joined the cast of the SBS drama series Our Beloved Summer, which began airing in December 2021. This project reunited her with actor Choi Woo-shik, with whom she had previously starred in The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion.

Kim's performances have earned her notable industry awards. For her breakthrough role in The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, she received numerous newcomer accolades. Additionally, her work in Itaewon Class earned her the Best New Actress (TV) honor at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards.

Regarding her agency representation, Kim ended her contract with ANDMARQ in May 2022 and subsequently signed with United Artists Agency in August of that year. In 2025, she portrayed a criminal profiler for the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in the mystery crime thriller series Nine Puzzles alongside Son Suk-ku. That same year, she starred as a 1980s bus hostess in JTBC's coming-of-age romance series A Hundred Memories.
