Jin Ki-joo

Jin Ki-joo is a South Korean actress born on January 26, 1989. Prior to her acting career, she graduated from the Department of Computer Engineering at Chung-Ang University. She subsequently worked at Samsung SDS for three years and later served as a journalist for Gangwon No.1 Broadcasting, a regional affiliate of the Seoul Broadcasting System.

Jin entered the entertainment industry after winning a prize in the 23rd Supermodel Contest, where the event organizer introduced her to actor management companies. She made her official acting debut in 2015 with a role in the tvN romantic comedy television series Second 20s.

Her breakthrough came in 2018 through several notable projects. She earned nominations and won major film awards for her portrayal of a snarky and playful country girl in the film Little Forest. That same year, she played a standout role as the protagonist's rival in the JTBC melodrama mystery series Misty, which led to her first lead role in the MBC melodrama thriller series Come and Hug Me.

In 2019, Jin starred in the SBS romantic comedy series The Secret Life of My Secretary. She followed this in 2020 by playing the protagonist in the KBS2 family weekend drama Homemade Love Story. In 2022, she accepted roles in two television series: the MBC supernatural fantasy From Now On, Showtime! and the KBS2 time travel mystery My Perfect Stranger.

Jin's career continued with a role in the 2024 period series Uncle Samsik, starring alongside film actor Song Kang-ho, in which she portrayed a journalist and the daughter of an assassinated presidential candidate. She was also cast in the MBC action comedy Undercover High School, scheduled to air in early 2025.

In April 2025, Jin signed an exclusive management contract with Basecamp Company, an agency founded a month prior by veteran actors Cha Tae-hyun and Zo In-sung. Through this agreement, she became the first actress to join the agency.
