Victoria Song

Song Qian, known professionally as Victoria or Victoria Song, is a Chinese singer, dancer, actress, model, host, and author born on February 2, 1987, in Qingdao, Shandong. She initially gained prominence as the leader of the South Korean girl group f(x). Alongside her group activities, she established an extensive television and film career in China and later launched a solo music career. Her career achievements earned her placements on the Forbes China Celebrity 100 list in 2017, 2019, and 2020.

Song moved from her hometown at an early age to study traditional Chinese dance at the Beijing Dance Academy, where she later majored in Chinese ethnic dance. In September 2007, an SM Entertainment casting agent scouted her during a dance competition in Beijing. After passing her audition, she trained in South Korea for modeling and acting. Before her music debut, she appeared in promotional materials and music videos, beginning with a 2008 commercial alongside Lee Joon-gi. She officially debuted with f(x) in September 2009.

In 2010, Song expanded into South Korean television, joining the cast of the KBS variety show Invincible Youth and appearing alongside Nichkhun on MBC's reality show We Got Married. The on-screen pairing brought her widespread recognition, culminating in the Popularity Award at the MBC Entertainment Awards. In 2012, she landed her first lead acting role in the drama When Love Walked In, which achieved high viewership and won her the Best New Actress honor at the China TV Drama Awards. That same year, she published her travel photo-essay book, Victoria's Hong-Ma.

Over the following years, Song balanced hosting and acting projects. She co-hosted programs including Glitter, Strongest Group, and Ace vs Ace. In 2015, she starred in the high-rating romance series Beautiful Secret and contributed the song "Star Tears" to its soundtrack. Her film credits include My New Sassy Girl, My Best Friend's Wedding, and Wished. On television, she took on leading roles in major productions such as Ice Fantasy—for which she performed the soundtrack track "Li Luo"—as well as A Life Time Love and The Chronicles of Town Called Jian.

Song debuted as a solo musical artist in March 2018 with the single "Roof on Fire" and served as a mentor on reality programs like Hot Blood Dance Crew. In May 2020, she released her self-titled studio album, which set sales records on QQ Music by reaching diamond certification within 22 hours. Her later screen projects include popular dramas such as Moonshine and Valentine, Find Yourself, Love Yourself, Beloved Life, and Our Interpreter, as well as the 2023 film Post Truth. Alongside her entertainment career, Song has participated in numerous charitable projects for UNICEF and the Red Cross.
